We build the physical thing a customer walks into: photo booths, gamified installations, sensor-driven walls, projection mapping, AR/VR/XR, bespoke fabrication. We do not run ads, write captions, or buy media.
A creative agency translates a business objective into something a customer experiences. The category splits four ways: advertising agencies, digital agencies, brand-identity studios, and experiential or activation agencies. Most of what Malaysia labels 'creative agency' sits in the first two. Instamedia sits only in the fourth, with the engineering team to back it. If your brief starts with 'we need to be on TikTok this quarter,' call someone else. If it starts with 'we need something the customer is still talking about on Monday morning,' carry on.
Most agencies brief a subcontractor, who briefs another subcontractor. Three margins stack, the timeline stretches, the idea gets compromised twice. We brought engineering in-house in 2012 and stopped quoting on anyone else's terms. That changes four things.
Brief Tuesday, engineering Wednesday, fabrication Thursday, build same week. A re-skin ships in two weeks, a bespoke build in four to eight.
The person who built it is on the WhatsApp group at 11pm, not behind an SLA ticket queue. The crew that built it is on site, every time.
No three subcontractor mark-ups. The budget in scope is the budget in the build. We walk a Bursa-listed bank through it line by line.
Every brief we ship now sits on top of the 1,624 that came before it. Newer agencies cannot photoshop that into a pitch deck.
Unreal Studio AR product display and sensor-driven retail try-on, tied to Nike's CRM.

Pavilion KL beauty-hall photo counter, art-directed to the brand's global aesthetic.

Group Awards Night fabricated glass booth and Tiger Summit karaoke installation.

New Balance 740 AI photobooth and Pickleball computer-vision sensor wall.

GR × Super GT festival AI photo booth and model-launch set fabrication.

Digital Annual Dinner: instrumented entrance and on-floor capture stations.

Tudor & David Beckham football-projection game with photo capture.

Custom interactive quiz and premium photo-craft installations to brand standards.

Fragrance kiosk with on-screen recommendation flow and the PINK Match activation.

Flagship store Kinect motion-tracking activation, the Pumathon.
We do not pitch outside these three because we do not need to.

Our premium photo-booth platform. Specified when a brand needs photo output that looks like the brand, not a rental booth with a logo skinned over it.

Our gamification engine. Runs when the brief needs a custom interactive game built around brand mechanics, leaderboards, sensors, or computer-vision tracking.

Everything that does not fit the other two. Where the brief starts with 'we want something that has not existed before,' and the fabrication bay carries it end-to-end.

A custom-fabricated wall with embedded computer-vision tracking, real-time leaderboards, and a photo-output flow at session close. CV layer written in-house.

A photo capture experience inside the beauty hall, in a bespoke housing art-directed to drop into the counter, routing captured emails into the loyalty CRM.

A fabricated transparent glass booth for the Awards floor, plus a custom karaoke installation as the social anchor of a 1,000-plus attendee summit. Built over six weeks in KL.
Same process for every brief, regardless of budget tier.
Objective, venue, audience, date. We send a one-page restatement within 48 hours.
Creative concept, technical approach, costed scope. We are honest about fit.
Engineering, fabrication, software, QA — all inside the KL studio. Weekly updates.
Crew on site from set-up to strike. A named PM throughout. No SLA queue.
Asset library, engagement metrics, data exports, right-cleared for your decks.
Malaysian Ringgit. Final quote scoped to your brief.
A one-off brand activation, launch event, mall pop-up, or corporate function with a photo activation or single gamified installation.
Regional campaign rollouts, multi-city launches, quarter-long mall programming, or a flagship corporate event with integrated builds across formats.
A brand's full year of creative-technology activation, integrated with the marketing calendar. For premium brands and Bursa-listed corporates.
Below RM 15,000 per activation does not produce the kind of build our brand list shipped on. If your budget is sized for a logo-skinned rental, there are vendors who serve that well. We are not one of them.
The same studio runs our Scope 3 data capture platform — Malaysia and SE Asia's first GHG Protocol-aligned event-capture layer. For brands in an ESG reporting cycle, the activation can carry a primary-data capture layer underneath it.
Engineering bay, fabrication shop, software team, creative-direction floor, and a meeting space large enough to walk a brand through a pre-event sign-off of the actual build. The difference between seeing the build a week early in a controlled environment, and seeing it for the first time on event day.

What makes Instamedia different from other creative agencies in Malaysia?
We build the actual installations in our KL studio. Most agencies outsource the technology layer to sub-vendors. Engineering, fabrication, software, and crew all sit under one P&L.
Do you do digital marketing, ads, or social media?
No. No paid media, no social-tile content, no ad buying. We build physical activations and creative-technology installations. We'll work alongside your media agency, not pitch for that scope.
Do you outsource any of the build?
Structural fabrication, embedded software, sensor integration, creative direction, and crewing sit in-house. Specialist line items (large-format print, freight, rigging) come from named long-term vendors.
How much does an engagement cost?
Single activations from RM 15,000. Campaign packages RM 40,000–150,000. Annual retainers from RM 180,000. Scoped to event scale, build complexity, and deployment window.
What is your lead time?
Two to four weeks for a variant on an existing format. Four to eight weeks for a fully bespoke build. Brief us early for tight deadlines and we'll tell you honestly if it holds.
Who owns the IP of the build?
You own the campaign IP — concept, branded assets, campaign-specific flows. We retain the underlying platform IP (IN:FRAME™, IMX Engine™, IMX Bespoke™ engineering). The contract spells it out.
Do you work outside Malaysia?
Yes. We've deployed across Singapore and SE Asia, including Marina Bay Sands and Singapore Expo. The studio is in KL; the crew travels and handles freight, customs, and venue logistics.
Do you handle data capture and sustainability reporting?
Yes. Every install can carry a data capture layer. For ESG reporting cycles, our Scope 3 platform produces GHG Protocol-aligned primary data from the same activation.
