Wefic partnered with Instamedia to create an innovative multiplayer interactive game experience at OTC Exhibition 2024 in Malaysia. This browser-based activation transformed any smartphone into a tap-to-fly controller, enabling up to 10 players to compete simultaneously in a submarine-themed game displayed on a large shared screen. Project Challenge: Wefic needed a standout booth activation for OTC Exhibition 2024 that would drive traffic, maximize engagement, and differentiate their brand from competitors. Traditional exhibition activations required app downloads, creating friction and reducing participation rates. They needed a low-friction solution that would instantly engage visitors, encourage repeat play, and create memorable brand moments that resonated with B2B audiences. Solution Approach: Instamedia developed a browser-based multiplayer game system where scanning a QR code instantly converted any phone into a tap-to-fly controller. Guests piloted submarines through an animated ocean environment displayed on a large LED screen, competing in real-time for top leaderboard positions. The solution eliminated app download barriers, enabled instant participation, and created competitive engagement through live rankings that encouraged repeat play.
